Information Day for Teachers will be Held in Daugavpils
Why do students like or do not like acquiring natural sciences and mathematics? How to improve future prospects of students for competition in the labour market? What changes are being introduced in the schools of Daugavpils? Who are the most creative teachers of natural sciences and mathematics over the districts? Why do these particular schools receive support from the European Union project? In what way will other schools in Daugavpils benefit? How to teach natural sciences and mathematics in a contemporary way?
You will be able to obtain answers to these and many other questions on 2 January, at 11:00 A.M., when the information day will be held in Daugavpils Central Secondary School and Daugavpils Secondary School No. 3, with participation of elementary and secondary school teachers of biology, physics, mathematics and chemistry from Daugavpils city and district, Ilukste district, Kraslava district, and Dagda district.
During the information day event, which will also be attended by representatives of Daugavpils city and district municipality, you will be able to familiarise with the expected changes in the education of natural sciences and mathematics, varied interactive materials designed for students, support materials for the teachers of natural sciences and mathematics, application of information technologies at schools, equipment to be received by schools, for the purpose of being able to teach the subjects of natural sciences and mathematics in a contemporary way, electronic study environment, interest raising events for students and competitions – all that allows schools not only in Daugavpils, but also in the entire Latvia, to work in a contemporary way.
