Project Information Day in Liepaja
On March 26, this year, the project information day will be held at Friendly Appeal Liepaja City Secondary School No. 5. Elementary and secondary school teachers of physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics from Grobina, Rucava, Nica, Priekule, Vainode, Durbe, Pavilosta, Aizpute district and Liepaja city are invited to participate.
During the information day the teachers will have the opportunity of learning about the main key positions of the project, teaching and learning materials developed within the project, application of information technologies in schools, games and competitions, their role in acquiring the subjects of natural sciences and mathematics, advantages of the elaborated e-learning environment, as well as to find out more about how to raise students’ interest on natural sciences and mathematics.
The aim of the project is to inform, within the framework of the project, all teachers in Latvia on changes that are being implemented in the subjects of natural sciences and mathematics. For this reason such information days have already been organised in several places in Latvia (Cesis, Valmiera, Jelgava, Jurmala, Riga, Bauska, and Daugavpils).
In order to participate in the workshop, teachers are asked to apply by March 17, 2010, filling in the application form and sending it to the e-mail: marta.dombrovska@visc.gov.lv
