We are extending our cooperation with the student-advisor team
The student-advisor team created within the framework of the Project continues its work in evaluation of the electronic materials for students of grades 7 through 9 prepared during the course of the Project. On 3 March 2010, grade 7 students from Babīte Secondary School, Mārupe Secondary School and Riga State Gymnasium No 1 gathered for their second meeting to evaluate the grade 7 biology CD-ROM. This time the students evaluated the topics of fungi, algae and lichen. The advisory team studied the CD-ROM both in the terms of its content and visual effect, as well as evaluated changes in the materials in comparison with the ones evaluated during the previous meeting.
The overall students' evaluation of the CD-ROM was very positive. The tasks were accepted as interesting and easily comprehensible. Students gave useful recommendations concerning the CD-ROM design and also noticed and approved of the general changes made in the visual design of the CD-ROM following the recommendations given by the team during the previous meeting. As a result, the students came to the conclusion that the CD-ROM is more improved now.
This month students-experts will also evaluate the grade 7 mathematics CD-ROM and the grade 8 chemistry CD-ROM.
