Retrospect to the Open Day in the RTU
On 10 April, Riga Technical University (RTU) opened its doors to more than 1000 future students, their families and all other stakeholders. Those who intended to study, this year had the opportunity not only to familiarise themselves with the faculties of the RTU and the curriculums offered, but also a wide informatively educational programme, within the framework of which the Project “Natural Sciences and Mathematics” was also presented.
Visitors of the Open Day were acquainted with the self-education CDs offered by the Project, providing each secondary school student with the opportunity of supplementing one’s knowledge according to the curriculum topics, preparing for tests and centralised examinations in the subjects of natural sciences and mathematics on the website dzm.lv. During the day secondary school students tested their knowledge by solving interactive tests and playing educational games. The candidates admitted that with the materials offered by the Project the learning and revising of the topics acquired before, was easy and exciting.
