Open day in 53 Latvian schools
On 23 August this year, 53 Latvian schools opened their doors to anyone willing to participate in versatile activities dedicated to natural sciences and mathematics and learn more about teaching-learning process at school today.
On the open day anyone was offered the following opportunities:
• Learn about changes in the education of natural sciences and mathematics;
• Become acquainted with equipment and information technologies available to students during learning process;
• Understand the modern learning process, its content and school environment;
• Consider what could be anticipated from a student, a teacher and a school today;
• Experiment, work with microscopes, explore the stars and take part in many other exciting activities like career lessons for students at Brocēni Secondary School, master class in Smiltene, Health Town, Town of New Scientists, astronomic night school and festal firework in Daugavpils.
