For the purpose of the improved content and teachers’ support materials developed within the project being usable in all schools in Latvia, they need to be tested in practice. In order to achieve the task, the project pilots the referred materials in the project pilot schools with piloting experience and pilot schools without piloting experience. The schools have been chosen in such a way, to create a model of Latvia: there are schools with Latvian study language and Russian study language, schools with a high and low number of students, elementary schools, secondary schools, and grammar schools, rural and urban schools.
Pilot schools with piloting experience:
• In Zemgale region:
-Jelgava State Grammar School, Jelgava city;
-Vecumnieki Secondary School, Bauska district.
• In Kurzeme region:
-Liepaja State Grammar School No. 1, Liepaja city;
-Broceni Secondary School, Saldus district.
• In Vidzeme region:
-Valmiera State Grammar School, Valmiera city;
-Smiltene Grammar School, Valka district;
-Lizums Secondary School, Gulbene district.
• In Latgale region:
-Daugavpils City Centre Grammar School, Daugavpils city;
-Vilani Secondary School, Rezekne district.
• In Riga region:
-Riga Zolitude Grammar School, Zemgale suburb of Riga city ;
-Riga StateGrammar School No. 3 , Riga city Central district;
-Ogre State Grammar School, Ogre district.
